All
workshops will be outside in spring winter conditions. The temperature may
range from -5°C to +15, depending on the weather. Wind will increase the
sensation of cold. You will be working on snow all day, and you will
experience both high- and low intensity work. We will use the ski lift for
transportation into the mountains and there will be a little walking (max
100 meters) between the workshop locations. When the day is over you will
have to ski down to the bottom of the ski resort. This means you should have
the necessary skills for safely descending down a groomed slope with code
marking blue. For those very uncomfortable on skies, there is a possibility
to either take the last lift down or arrange for a car pick-up on a closer
location.
You
will need:

Warm, wind and weather-proof mountain clothes. A down jacket is nice to
have.

Ski-touring, or telemark skies, including skins (feller). Alpine skies or
snowboard + snowshoes (truger) may also be used.

Warm and comfortable skiing boots.

Avalanche transceiver, shovel and avalanche probe (søkestang)

Sunglasses and sun screen

pairs of gloves or mittens

Warm hat

Thermos and water bottle

you have a first aid kit; bring it

small sleeping mat is useful
